THE END OF MAN KIND AS WE KNOW IT! (Yes we ARE that bad.)

(Our chances are nill if we keep up the shitty Grammys.)

Sooooo, THE GRAMMY’S! A very interesting evening every year. I enjoy the Grammy’s for two reasons. One, because I like seeing some of my favorite artists perform/win/present, and two, I enjoy seeing epic fails. Naturally I shall start with the ups of the Grammy’s.

1. Bruno Mars was great! I loved him singing Grenade in such an old fashion way. Huge throw back which makes me love him even more. His voice is so butter I could just listen to him for hours on end.

2. Lady Gaga singing her new song Born This Way was great. I had two thoughts while she was singing. “I LOVE THIS SONG!” and “Why isn’t she acting completely insane???” Insane or not I love her and everything she does. “Don’t be a drag just be a queen!” is probably my new favorite line in any of her songs. Just epic.

3. I have two words for you: Barbra Streisand! I could not understand why someone would not love her! For her to do a live performance is amazing and I thought she was great. Yes her voice is a lot weaker than it used to be, but she is a living legend and she was definitely a highlight of the evening.

4. Mumford and sons, Avett Brothers, and Bob Dylan. That was one of the best parts of the show in my opinion. What made it so great besides the fact that BOB DYLAN was there was that it was music that you don’t hear a lot at the Grammys. You hear ‘Grammys’ and think Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, P. Diddy or what ever is cool these days, but to have banjo players jamming out with Bob Dylan was just a magical moment and I am so glad that they had that.

5. Justin Bieber and Ushers gay moment. Now I am pro gay rights, but I did laugh when Usher asked ‘The Biebs’ what he told him when they first met and Justin saying “If its destiny we will meet again.” I couldn’t help but giggle. Maybe it didn’t sound that bad to most people, but I’m biased because well I’m not into Justin Bieber OR Usher. Sue me.

6. Cee lo and Gwyneth Paltrow. I love both of them and that song so I mean there was no way I was not going to like it. His outfit on the other hand was interesting to say the least. I did enjoy the puppets. The drumming one was my favorite =].

7. Mick Jagger! What an odd little man! I mean that in the most respectful way possible! He’s also a living legend. While he was singing I thought of the Blues Brothers and hoped that Dan Aykroyd would pop out of no where and bust some of his awesome Elwood moves. Sadly that did not happen, but I’m sure he was at home jamming out!

8. Seth Rogan’s burn about getting high with Miley. I love Seth Rogan and everything he says. He’s just AWESOME!

Ahh now for my favorite part! The downs. There is nothing I love more than talking trash about people who are richer than me, prettier than me, have more talent than me, and have more friends than I do just to make me feel better about myself. LETS GO!

1. Justin Bieber. I was never into ‘The Biebs’ I’m not going to lie though, he is not the worst singer to have ever lived. Trust me I have heard worse and I shall get to some later. But when I heard Justin sing tonight I was quite confused at first. You see I’m used to all the jokes about him like “Oh he sounds like a 12 year old girl.” and “His balls haven’t dropped yet.” (Which is quite rude. But funny lol) and so I assume that every time he sings he will sound like a little girl. Even when he’s 40 (if he still has a career) I would think he still sounded like a prepubescent girl. But tonight he did NOT! I thought he was awful. I thought he sounded a bit like a joke audition for American Idol. But hey everyone to there own.

2. Arcade Fire. So this is the first time I had ever even heard of this band, and I must say they did not make a great first impression on me. First of all I couldn’t WATCH the performance because if I watched the lights I would have had a stroke. I mean the lights were just ridiculous. So I listened to them. Soon though I wish I hadn’t decided to even listen because I thought they were shit. Nothing about their performance was good or even okay. So naturally I was upset when they won best album. Can’t cry over spilt milk so congrats to them. Tweaked out ass holes enjoy your ‘music’.

3. I’m going to be honest. Eminem SCARES THE SHIT OUT OF ME. What I don’t understand about him is his anger. I don’t know if he knows this, but not ALL rap is pissed beyond all reason at the world. Don’t get me wrong, a lot of it is, but not ALL of it. I mean he yells everything. “I FUCKIN HATE ALL OF YOU AHHHHH IM WHITE AND PEOPLE CALL ME CRACKER! IM GLAD THE STEELERS LOST BECAUSE I FUCKIN LOVE THE PACKERS (I threw that in because the Packers are saweet!) MY KID HATES MY GUTS! I LIKE TO GIVE IT UP THE BUTT! AND NOW IM GOING TO SET YOU ALL ON FIRE!!!!!” That was my impersonation of him raping. I mean he truly scares me. Maybe its those eyes. They are so big and his eyebrows are always narrowed and he’s always frowning. I mean you are a white male you would have it made back in the day when you were the only demographic that could vote or do ANYTHING for that matter. So Eminem lets turn your frown upside down, lift the eye brows, and whisperrrrrr.

 4. Katy Perry. I’m going to keep this nice a short and to the point. She should not sing live. Nuff said.

5. Lady Antebellum. I don’t HATE them, BUT they are not ALL THAT. I mean what they won 3 or 4 Grammys based on ONE song. It’s a good song but sheesh there have been other songs in 2010 that were awesome. Oh well.

6. During the opening where five female singers held a tribute to Aretha Franklin I felt that it was Christina Aguilera’s way of bouncing back from her Super Bowl EPIC FAIL!. Seriously who the fuck messes up the National Anthem. I get it if you know like French people didn’t know it but DAMN! So I just didn’t enjoy her at all. Doesn’t help that I don’t like her voice. It just IRRITATES me. The tribute would have been okay if she was booed off the stage. Yes I think she is that bad. I also think that anyone who doesn’t agree is a complete moron.

Over all if I was going to rate the Grammys on a scale of 1 to 10 I would give it a 6 ½ maybe a 7. I was good, but I wish I watched the BAFTA’s instead. =/ What did you think of the Grammys?
